On behalf of the Shiawassee County Convention and Visitors Bureau, please accept our invitation to come and explore all that we have to offer.
Charming and well loved, this area in the heart of Michigan is a treasure awaiting your discovery.
Encompassing small towns and villages, Shiawassee County has much to be discovered. Enjoy unique
shopping and feel the excitement of our activities and festivals at our fairgrounds, parks and downtowns. Explore scenic biking and walking trails or just sit back and throw out a fishing line along the Shiawassee River. Partake in the multitude of arts and entertainment offerings at our arts center and outdoor summer concerts, or take in a play by the Owosso Players. Visit Curwood Castle, tour historic homes, and continue back in time as you visit museums and a historical village. Don’t leave the county without visiting our historic depot and learning about our proud railroad heritage. Only in Shiawassee County can you see a 220 ton steam locomotive brought back to life. Pause for a bite to eat at one of our many fine restaurants and when your day is complete, stay in one of the comfortable accommodations found throughout the county.
Whether you will be joining us for our proud heritage, fun festivals and events, small town values or
business endeavors—one thing is certain, you will be greeted and treated with genuine hospitality.

Enjoy your stay and come back soon!
